New Website Features

Welcome to the new Rock Island County Bar Website. Here are a few notes and features of the new website:

  • All members should have received a temporary password by email. If not, contact us at [email protected].
  • To change your password, follow these instructions: https://ricountybar.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/howto-change-password.pdf.
  • The site will appear in Google and Bing, etc. shortly. It takes a few days (sometimes a couple weeks) for Google and Bing to index the website.

Administrative Order No. 2016-1

In the Circuit Court of the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, Henry County, Illinois, Administrative Order No. 2016-1
There is created a part-time civil division meeting on the days of Thursday and Friday each week per month. Currently Marital dissolutions and paternity cases will be assigned t these days. Walk-in court days will continue on the other days of the week to facilitate uncontested matters.

Law Day Luncheon – Monday, May 2nd

To: ROCK ISLAND COUNTY, ILLINOIS AND ALL SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA JUDGES, ATTORNEYS, PARALEGALS, LEGAL SECRETARIES, ALL COURT RELATED PERSONNEL AND GUESTS

The 2016 Law Day Luncheon is jointly sponsored by the Bar Association of Rock Island County, Illinois and Scott County, Iowa and will be held on Monday May 2, 2016 at the iWireless Center located at 1201 River Drive, Moline, Illinois. Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch being served at 11:45 a.m.

The guest speaker will be Jim Leach. Mr. Leach served for thirty years in the U.S. House of Representatives and is currently a Visiting Professor of Law and Senior Scholar at the University of Iowa College of Law.

The menu is as follows:
• Southern salad, baby field greens, assorted berries, spiced pecans, blue cheese and a white balsamic vinaigrette
• Lemon chicken breast with Vesuvio-style potato, roasted tomato and lemon garlic sauce
• Warm artisan rolls and sweet butter
• New York style cheesecake with a butter cookie crust and berry compote
• Coffee and Iced Tea

With four generations in the workplace, bringing their unique perspectives and approaches to work, conflicts, misunderstandings and frustrations are not infrequent. This program explores the characteristics of the generations and engages participants in active consideration of scenarios in which conflicts caused by generational differences must be resolved.
